FAQ'S
Are you licensed,
bonded, & Insured?
Yes, we have all the necessary
documents and are legally licensed to do siding
today; we are insured as well so there are no
worries when dealing with us.
What building companies have you worked for in
the past? Can I see your work?
Absolutely! We have projects that are located in various cities, maybe even blocks from your home!
We would make an appointment at your convenience.
What is your travel range?
We have worked as far as far south as Chehalis,
and as far north as Bothell. These sort of detials can be worked out with our project manager.
If I have defected siding, what can I do and how
much will it cost?
If you have any defected or damaged siding,
contact us and we will give you a bid. We can stop
by at any day of the week within reasonable hours.
Home owner does not have to be home, and we will
leave the bid on the door before we leave. Review
the bid and contact us as if you have further
questions.
I already have a bid from Breeze siding, what do
I do with it?
It’s very simple, sign it and send it to the
address that is on header of the bid sheet. Also be
sure to list a start date on the sheet that is most
convenient for you, If you don’t we will wait until
you call and confirm with us.
What different types of siding does Breeze Siding
install?
We work with Hardie-Plank & cedar products. We
also do many other services for your home be sure to
check out the service page on the website we have
provided for you.
I have scheduled an appointment for a start date.
What happens next?
Please remove any pictures, mirrors, ect. that
can fall during installation due to vibration that
can knock them off of the walls. We will also need
access to the breaker box which is usual located in
the garage of the home. (If otherwise please let us
know).
Next we will have the material scheduled to be
dropped off a day or two before start date. Also our
crew might leave some equipment behind from the day
we start. We start by tearing off the old siding
completely and hauling it away.
We wrap the house with building paper and begin installation
of your siding choice. We caulk every nook and
cranny to prevent any leaks. We schedule a day to do a walk
over the house with the property owner to see if any changes an/or corrections need to be made.
What if we want new corner boards?
Do you use the existing corner boards? What if they
are damaged or broken when removing them?
Periodically we do have to replace damaged corners,
but mostly there is no need to replace what is still
good. If we see substantial damage, we will have no
choice to replace them. New paint usually does the
trick.
May I see some samples?
Absolutely! If what you see on the website does
not satisfy your needs, please contact us and
let us know what it is you want to look at. We have
many model projects that we can take you to.
How does payment work?
Payment plan is also printed on the bid sheet.
Payment for the material is due before start of
project, so that we can start. The rest of the
payment is due when the project is finished. If
owner will supply the material then payment is due
only when project is completed.
I have T-111 sheets installed on my home what are
my options for replacement?
These are installed directly over the bare
studs; this is called single wall construction. The
panels are nailed to the studs. On the other side of
the studs is the sheetrock, which you see on the
inside of your home.
One solution is to install new panels. We remove the
defective panels and install new panels of your
current design.
The next possible solution is to have the panels
removed. Breeze Siding will then install new 1/2"
sheeting, and the homeowner's selected siding. This
benefits you; complete removal of the defective
product is the best choice.
What is the warranty on Hardie-Plank
and is it transferable?
James Hardie provides a 30 year
limited transferable warranty for Hardie-Plank.
How is cedar lap
siding applied?
Various materials require different tools and techniques. It would depend on the cedar lap siding product. Generally the ceder lap siding is nailed on the
bottom side of the board rather than the cement fiber which is nailed on the top side.
How long will it take to do my
siding?
Usually it is completed within 3-10 business
days. It depends on the size of the home and what
kind of project it is.
What do I do if I have mold?
Breeze Siding will find all the rot and replace all
damaged areas in the frame.
